AYBC TAIPEI 2027

Refund policy

Last updated October 10, 2026

This page explains how registration fees and other charges are refunded for the 2027 AYBC Asia Youth Basketball Championship, Taipei Edition. It is a summary; the participation agreement you accept during registration is the binding text.

  1. 1. What you pay at registration

At registration you pay the US$ 700 registration fee and the required US$ 300 event package per team, plus any lodging, extra banquet tickets and merchandise, in full by credit card. A discount code may reduce the total. Submitting is a registration request, not a confirmed place. The event package is mandatory and does not include lodging; lodging is chosen separately.

  2. 2. If your team is not placed

If your team is not placed, 100% of the actual amount paid, including the event package, lodging, extra banquet tickets and merchandise, is refunded to the original card, less any refunds already issued. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days.

  3. 3. Waitlist

While your team is on the waitlist, the amount paid is not refunded yet. If a team withdraws before the roster cut-off, waitlisted teams may be moved up. Teams that are not ultimately moved up are refunded the full amount paid to the original card.

  4. 4. Withdrawing after acceptance

After acceptance, the registration fee is non-refundable when a team withdraws; the group slot is released for a waitlisted team. If a team withdraws on or before December 20 (Taipei time, inclusive) in 2026, the actual refundable amounts for lodging, extra banquet tickets, merchandise and the event package are returned to the original card. Discounts and earlier refunds limit the refundable balance. After December 20, no withdrawal refund is available.

  5. 5. Event package

The event package is required and costs US$ 300 per team. It includes banquet seats, white long-sleeve shirts and team photo and video services for the players and coaches on your roster. Banquet seats beyond the roster cost US$ 50 each. The package cannot be cancelled on its own. If your team is not placed, the package is refunded in full with the rest of your payment. If your team withdraws after acceptance on or before December 20 (Taipei time, inclusive) in 2026, the refundable package amount is returned to the original card, based on the payment record after discounts and previous refunds. The registration fee is not refunded, and no withdrawal refund is available after December 20.

  6. 6. Lodging, banquet tickets and add-on gear

Lodging, extra banquet tickets and merchandise are paid with registration. Through December 20 (Taipei time, inclusive) in 2026, reduce them on the team page and receive the actual refundable difference on the original card. Sponsored lodging uses guest counts and must cover the roster. Brother Hotel uses twin-room counts and must have capacity for the roster; extra accompanying guests require sufficient additional rooms arranged by the team. Reducing extra banquet tickets never removes the seats included in the event package. Merchandise quantities may be reduced to zero. Refunds use purchase-time prices and are limited by discounts and earlier refunds. After the deadline, reductions close. To add items before the deadline, contact wen@aybc.org.

  7. 7. Shop orders

Gear bought on the Shop page (no team registration needed) is a separate order and is collected on site at the tournament; the location and hours will be announced later. Through December 20, 2026 at 23:59 (Taipei) you can ask the tournament office (wen@aybc.org) to cancel an order, which is refunded in full to the original card, or to exchange sizes one-for-one. Orders that have already been collected can't be changed. Requests are not accepted from December 21, 2026.

  8. 8. Ejection for misconduct

A team ejected from the event for abuse of officials, fighting or damage to a venue is not entitled to a refund.

  9. 9. Force majeure

If the event is cancelled or curtailed for reasons beyond the organizers' control — such as typhoon, earthquake, public-health orders or venue closure — liability is limited to a refund of registration fees less costs already incurred.

  10. 10. How refunds are paid

All refunds are returned to the original credit card used for payment, processed by TapPay. The organizers never store your card number.
