Group play Thursday to Saturday decides who reaches the semifinals; every other team plays a placement game on Sunday. Every game has a fixed 60-minute slot, man-to-man defense in the half court (full-court presses and traps allowed), FIBA rules.
Age cut-off is January 1. Passport is checked at registration (no other ID accepted). Taiwan, as host, enters one team in every group; every other country may enter up to one team per group.
The Fukang Culture and Education Foundation sponsors three nights for the international players and coaches on each team's roster, assigned to one of five partner hotels. The event package does not include lodging; lodging is chosen separately. Teams may choose Brother Hotel or their own arrangements. Saturday's last game tips at 17:00 before the banquet.
Up to 2 consecutive extra nights before and after the Jan 7–9 stay. Sponsored lodging: US$ 40 per person per night for all guests, including players and coaches. Brother Hotel: US$ 200 per room per night. Reductions and refunds are available through Dec 20.
Through Dec 20, you can reduce these on the team page for a refund.
Everything is done online. Submitting doesn't guarantee a place: we review registrations on a rolling basis, and the organizers decide which teams are accepted and how they are grouped, with at most one team per country in each group.
An English-speaking translator is at every court. Visa and entry rules for each country are in the guide's appendix; after acceptance we issue one invitation letter per team.
