Upload passport photos

Pick several at once — one passport per photo.

Passports are used only to verify identity and age and to make tournament IDs; passport numbers are never stored. The player photo is cropped from the passport photo.

  • What we read: English name, date of birth, nationality, sex and passport expiry. The passport number is discarded right after reading — never stored or logged.
  • Original photo: deleted as soon as it's processed. We keep only the passport data-page image and the cropped player photo.
  • Player photo: used on your tournament ID and your team page. We only detect where the face is to crop it — no face recognition or matching.
  • Retention: unsubmitted drafts are deleted after 30 days; passport images and player photos are deleted 60 days after the tournament (March 11, 2027). Only organizer staff can see them.

Do Taiwanese players need a passport too?
Yes. Every player needs a readable passport so we can verify identity and age on the spot — national ID and health insurance cards can't be used instead.
What if a passport can't be read?
The only option is to retake it: follow the tip under that photo (lay it flat, fill the frame, avoid glare), then tap Retake. There's no manual entry and no other way to submit.
Why can't I type the details in?
The code at the bottom of a passport has check digits that prove it was read correctly. Typed details can't be verified and would need a manual check, which slows down your whole team's registration.

Signed by the head coach on behalf of every player, coach and accompanying adult.

  1. 1. Assumption of risk

    Basketball involves physical contact and a risk of injury, including serious injury. Each participant takes part voluntarily and accepts these risks, is responsible for their own fitness to play, and discloses medical conditions to the team's coach.

  2. 2. Release of liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, the team, each player and each parent or guardian release and hold harmless AYBC, the U19 League (U19.com), ESSA (ESSA.org), their officers, staff, referees, volunteers, venue owners and sponsors from any claim for injury, illness, death, loss or damage to property arising from participation in or travel to the event, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
